Project SEARCH is a high school transition program which provides training and education leading to competitive, integrated employment for individuals with disabilities. The Project SEARCH approach was started in 1996 with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). It is a “business/employment sector” focused approach, targeting careers in a growth industry, such as the health care, environmental services, technology, banking, government and higher education business sectors. The cornerstone of the Project SEARCH approach is industry immersion.
